I don't get involved in trials. Do they usually involve prosecutors getting attacked?

Er... Well, no, there's usually a bailiff to keep the defendants and witnesses in line. [ ... ] There's also usually a defendant when you start the trial.

I guess. I don't think I'm supposed to get that involved, though. Like, Mr. Edgeworth... I think he wants the truth because it's the truth. I just wanted it because I was scared of getting the wrong person.

Do you regret your priorities? Would you rather have the truth for the truth's sake? Fear of being wrong and the desire for the truth, both things lead to the same pursuit.

He guesses maybe that much really doesn't matter in this case, if the truth is still the end goal, regardless of his reason for wanting it. But even then, he still feels like he did a pretty crappy job of going after it. ]
I just feel like I was kind of... wishy washy about the whole thing. Like, if it was my pops out there instead of me, and his roommate looked suspicious, he would have come straight out with it and gone after him! He wouldn't have hesitated and been weak about it like I was.

W-well, I've been officially assigned to two cases and directed the investigations for both of them, but they haven't... actually gone to trial yet, so...
