He's locked into his contract. There's nothing about having the lobby be accessible during the checkout period.

Yeah... it said something like— anyone unable to return to the lobby on the checkout date will be considered to have failed to meet the terms of the contract, but I don't think there was anything said that he was responsible for making it accessible to the living, which... is maybe kind of a big loophole...
