Yeah, he's another prosecutor... but the Prosecutorial Investigation Committee was looking into him for some stuff, so Pops— um, the PIC Chairman sent me to replace him! But then he kept showing up at my cases anyway!
He was supposed to have a hearing on whether he was going to get to keep his badge or not on the day I ended up here, but then one of the committee members got murdered in the meeting room the night before, so that got put on hold...
Someone showing up at your cases is only problematic if you can't demonstrate your usefulness even when someone else is working towards the same ends. No one is assigned cases here, so if you wish to stand out, you'll have to adapt to it.
As for the badge, I do not know the circumstances, but I can assure you he is a good and moral man.
It's a problem because he gets in the way and steals evidence from my crime scenes and has his own detective sidekick take it off for testing without even telling me! And then suddenly they're like, oh, here's the results for some salty sherbet blood we tested even though we had no investigative authority!!
[ ...that said, he knows the thing about edgeworth's morality is probably right and he doesn't have anything to contradict it. but it's still breaking procedure and unfairly leaving him out of the loop and he's still mad about it!! ]
And... yeah, I know it's different here. But I'm still better qualified to deal with this stuff than pretty much everyone!
That is a good thing. [she examines her nails.] I only tell you that your qualifications will be accepted only once you demonstrate them. The people here are stubborn, and we have all seen many trials and all think the way we are accustomed to is best.
