[ ok, good... case theories he can handle. there's a faint sigh of relief. ]
I thought... that Kim guy was more suspicious, with that weird thing about losing his razor and everything. Or maybe that scary guy who's... uh.... whatever with him?
I don't know... I still thought it was weird that he said he lost it in the first place, not just that he'd left it in his room like the rest of us? And then he still found it so easily when he went to get it even though it was lost?? I mean, what if the other guy just gave him his after he passed the check himself! And he was left handed too, right?
Yes. I'm not certain, but the points you made - I agree with them. There was more pointing to him than to Bucky. The shoes fit; the jacket would have been odd, but that was planted.
[ he sounds excited about this affirmation for a moment, but then he frowns and looks down at the floor. ]
...I really should have pressed him a lot harder, huh?
I was just trying to defend Bucky instead, 'cause I was scared of what might happen if I went after that guy... but that was stupid. I'm a prosecutor, not a defense attorney.
Perhaps. If that is the lesson you think you ought to take away from it. Though if you mean you were afraid Yoo Joonghyuk would have become violent, you may not be incorrect.
If something like that happens again... what's the best thing to do? Maybe... we could ask the staff to be on guard and ready to stop them...? Like how you tell the bailiff to be ready if you have a defendant or witness who you think is gonna try something.
I somewhat doubt...I think the staff might intervene in a situation like Sieghart and Mikazuki, but...honestly, the contracts clearly provide for someone to kill in the middle of trial. Nothing says you only save your hostage by killing at night - they are saved if you kill at any point outside of the executions.
Instead, I would think of who is physically strong who is not close to the one being accused. Come with an ally.
You are welcome. I do consider it to our advantage to work together. Asking questions and pushing those who are suspicious, as a prosecutor would, is only going to better our circumstances.

...Ah. Yes, hello.

he's not sure what to say that won't sound pathetic, and she's not really saying much either... so he just turns to look at her. ]

So, Barnes was innocent. Do you suspect someone else?

But his razor ultimately turned up. Do you still find that suspicious?

Yes. I agree with you. He is obviously the most suspicious one.

[ he bites his lip. the person who'd fit that description the best for him had been... well, bucky. ]

You can ask me. I am not strong, but no one will dare harm me, either.

[sometimes if you project wild confidence it works out.]
On the station, there was a killer who started to threaten me. The second it happened, he was under control.

Huh...
[ he has a hard time imagining what it would be like for anyone to want to keep him alive that badly. ]
W-well, as long as you're sure you wouldn't be in real danger, then... okay, I'll keep that in mind for next time.
...Thanks.
