he runs back over to the wall where the door was a second ago (and probably almost falls over when there's a bump in the road) and weakly pounds his fist on it. ]
Well, door #1 was terrible, so I figured if that wasn't the best door, this should be it, because, you know, the whole "save the best for last" thing! Why would you even make a hallway where every room was bad!
Given you thought this was going to be the best door ever, it’s not like you knew what was on the other side. Just… consider that if both the doors you’ve tried have sucked, then chances are all the others will suck too.

Yeah, but some of the rooms go to other rooms that are all behind the same door! So maybe this is like a room within a room... or, uh, a truck within a room, and eventually it will stop and a door will open somewhere and we'll get out and we'll be in some other place that's actually still in the same room, and then we'll get to go back to the hallway! That makes the most sense as an ending, right?
Uh... well, probably not the trapdoor thing, but they have doors on the back! A truck would be pretty useless if you couldn't get your stuff out of it, you know?
And there are probably secret truck routes and secret trucks for criminals who smuggle drugs or whatever!
