Even though I've been the specially assigned prosecutor in charge of the last three murder investigations back home, he keeps finding these sneaky ways to weasel into my crime scenes to do his own unauthorized investigations, like pretending to be a defense attorney's assistant! The party was fun, mostly... but... it also just rubbed in how much I'm not part of the same... [ starts to make a vague gesture with the hand holding the glass again, but he catches himself fast enough this time!! ] ...whatever, you know? Like, pretty much all the rest of you already had good friends when you got here! And you guys played these games before and you have all these memories, and it just... feels like I'm some stupid kid who isn't supposed to be here...

The only reason I'd say I count any of the people from my old situation as friends is because we went through hell for two months with each other. I wasn't playing party games and trusting them with my secrets two weeks after meeting them.
