unbested | crau2 pcs: kazunari

You open the door to find what looks like a storage room, with marionettes hanging on the walls that look like yourself and the other guests of the Starlight Hotel. The strings belonging to any guests who are dead have been cut, and the expressions on their painted faces are grotesque and in pain. The marionettes of the living stare eerily at you with glassy, lifeless eyes, as if they're waiting for someone to pick them up and make them move. If you try to touch any of the marionettes of the living, you will hear a voice hiss "M̶̦͕̰̼͊̆i̴̱͒̌͜N̵̘̎̏̔e̸̛̟͆͝ͅ". You will then suddenly find yourself back in the hall, disoriented and feeling like you've just been slapped on the wrist. Only four minutes have passed.

[ it's no #1, but 7 is supposed to be lucky, right?? so this seems like as good a room as any to check out! (it is not.)

sebastian opens the door and peeks inside. time to find out what fresh puppet hell awaits us here. ]

[ ok so like right after trial he's going after seb where you at baby boy ]

[ the art room in the prism probably isn't a place sebastian would normally go to on his own, but he figures kazu might be there if he's not in his room, so. he comes over sometime in the evening after the trial and pokes his head in. ]

[ this party has been a novel and mostly fun experience!! but also it was a lot and some of the dares were mean and he had several drinks and one of them splashed out of the glass and stained his white glove and now he's just standing against a wall somewhere looking at his hand and tearing up. ]

[ where is sebastian, we've all been so busy the latter of half of this week that kazu thinks a check-in is long overdue. ]

[ as much as this whole memory sharing thing has sucked, at least most of sebastian's leaked memories thus far have just been edgeworth making him look stupid rather than anything personal.

that is very much not the case with the memory kazunari gets while they're hanging out today... which probably seems... a little different from how sebastian painted it when he talked about it. ]

[ he's coming to find sebastian wherever he went after waking. ]

Hey, Bestie, how're you and the injuries feeling? The bean bag wasn't too harsh on you, was it?

[ three trials in a row he's come out to whatever the detention center of the week is, and every time it's been worse than the last. he's not even sure what he's supposed to say this time, and it's several long seconds before he can even get a word out through his tears. ]

I... You didn't remember... right? The shadow made you... forget, or something?

[ sebastian is probably going to be sticking pretty close to kazunari for a lot of the evening, and at some point once the clown noses are gone, he'll sit down next to him somewhere. ]

Thanks... for supporting me that whole time. I'm, uh... not sure I would have made it through everything otherwise.
